Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Receipt Rocket mobile application ("App") or web dashboard ("Dashboard"), collectively referred to as the "Service," provided by Receipt Rocket ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. User Eligibility

To use the Service, you must either be invited by an authorized administrator ("Admin") of a registered company account or create a company account yourself. You must provide accurate and complete information during the registration process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3. License to Use the Service

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes, specifically for scanning, managing, and organizing receipts for your company. You do not acquire any ownership rights in the Service software.

4. Usage Restrictions

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Using the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
  • Scraping, data mining, or attempting to extract data from the Service other than through the intended export features.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service.

5. Payment Terms

Access to certain features of the Service requires a paid subscription based on the number of users ("seats") associated with your company account. Payments are processed through our third-party payment processor, Stripe, via the website dashboard. We do not offer in-app purchases. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis as selected. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your access to paid features. Prices are subject to change upon reasonable notice.

6. Receipt Data and Ownership

You and your company retain ownership of the content you upload to the Service, including receipt images and associated data ("Receipt Data"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, reproduce, and process Receipt Data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service for you and your company. Receipt Data is stored securely and is accessible only to authorized users within your company account, primarily Admins via the Dashboard.

7. Data Export

Company Admins have the right to export their company's Receipt Data from the Dashboard at any time during an active subscription, typically in standard formats like CSV or PDF.

8. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may terminate your company's account by contacting us, subject to the terms of your subscription agreement. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, and we may delete your account data according to our data retention policies.

9. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We may modify the Service, its features, or pricing from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes, where feasible. We may also update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Receipt Rocket shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your State/Country, e.g., the State of California], without regard to its conflict of law principles.
