This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App") and web dashboard ("Dashboard"), collectively referred to as the "Service." We collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Information: When you register an account or are invited by your company, we collect personal information such as your name and email address.
  • Company Information: We collect information about the company associated with the account, such as company name and a unique identifier.
  • Receipt Data: When you use the App to scan receipts, we collect the receipt images and the data extracted from them, which may include vendor names, purchase amounts, dates, times, and item descriptions. We also store any expense categories you or your company admin assign to these receipts.
  • Usage Data: We may collect information automatically about how you interact with the Service, such as IP addresses, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and actions taken within the App and Dashboard.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • To manage your account and your company's account.
  • To process receipt scans and perform automatic categorization using our technology.
  • To improve the accuracy of our automatic categorization features.
  • To send you important notifications, such as receipt upload confirmations, security alerts, and support messages.
  • To send onboarding information or tips on using the Service effectively.
  • To respond to your comments, questions, and requests, and provide customer support.
  • To monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Service to improve its functionality.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Within Your Company: Information, particularly Receipt Data uploaded by team members ("Workers"), is accessible to the designated Administrators ("Admins") of your company's account via the Dashboard.
  • With Service Providers: We share information with third-party vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf. These include:
    • Supabase: For authentication, database hosting, and file storage. Supabase handles the secure storage of your account information and Receipt Data.
    • Stripe: For processing subscription payments made via the website. We do not store your credit card details; this information is provided directly to Stripe, whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policy.

    These third parties are obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.

  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect and defend our rights or property, prevent fraud, act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public, or protect against legal liability.
  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of company assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures, including administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, to protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. We rely on the security measures provided by our third-party provider, Supabase, which includes encryption of data at rest and in transit. However, no electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your Personal Information and Receipt Data for as long as your company's account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. We will retain and use information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Company Admins can export their data at any time.

6. Account Deletion

Individual users can typically delete their accounts through the App settings (if feature implemented). Company Admins can request the deletion of the entire company account and associated data by contacting us. Upon request, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as practicable, but some information may remain in archived/backup copies for our records or as required by law.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may review, update, or correct your account information by logging into your account or contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its processing. 8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
